Tuesday will be the 10 year house-iversary of when Adam & I bought this house. Time flies!
So why not add to our home? Meet the newest furry sidekick : Oreo!
Charlotte's best friend, Natalie, and her family unexpectedly had a puppy be born when two of their dogs connected. He was born on 11/07/24 and they have been calling him "Sleepy Joe". While he has had a couple play dates and visits, he officially came home with Adam and Charlotte after her cheer class tonight.
How fitting that he came to join our household on Epiphany, the day that concludes Christmas. The friendship between the girls, which has been such a gift over the years, has led to a family friendship and now, a doggie connection!
Having two pups chasing each other around the living room and seeing two tie outs in the backyard brings back sweet memories of my Dusty Shamrock playing with Hershey. It's been so fun seeing Charlotte interact with both dogs as a big girl now, too. I hope this little guy bonds himself to Charlotte so she can feel like she has a little shadow much like how Hershey tends to always be at my side.
So, tonight is the first night of his being with us in his new home and how fitting that it is on the eve of the house-iversary. 🏠 We are going to go with "Oreo" and call him "Ori" for short. 💓 This was Charlotte's top pick name-wise, and believe me, there were many! We settled on this due to his coloring and the circular swirls of his curls....but I love "y" ending names for pups, hence our possibly calling him Ori. Isn't his white tip on his tail the cutest?!
Hoping they will be buds for years to come...I came home to find them together like this. So sweet!
On this "Little Christmas" Day -- the traditional Feast of the Epiphany, we are enjoying this little guy!
Love our little Hallmark Village as I reflect in our home, and those who inhabit it, tonight! So grateful for God's Providence through it all.
