Sometimes God doesn't knock, sometimes He rolls over me with a Mack truck!

What an emotional roller coaster of a day it's been!!

It started with a conversation I had with a friend this morning via text.  He shared the following words with me, "You're giving power to the devil and taking it from Jesus Christ when you treat yourself this way.  St. Paul literally killed Christians, did he let that haunt him forever?  Not a chance, he called himself a new creation.  That's what we are in Christ.  You went to confession and were forgiven.  The only sin that can't be forgiven is not accepting Christ's forgiveness.  He didn't die for you so you could cast his sacrifice aside and say you're unworthy and blah blah blah.  He died to set you free, end of story."

Those were some hard words to hear and it wasn't the first time he had spoken those words to me but sometimes I need to hear things more than once for them to sink in...well, in this case, I need to hear these words a lot I think.

Anyhow, I continued on with my day of getting in lots of quality time with the pupster, doing schoolwork, and dog-sitting for a friend.
Georgia sittin' pretty on the couch!

Dusty Shamrock is such a little cuddle bug!
When it was time to leave my friend's apartment complex, I had to smile to myself when I saw a black Sentra parked next to my car.  I almost took a picture of it to send to my former roommate because that is the kind of car she has.  I didn't have time since I was running late for my movie plans with friends.  I did, however, send her a text telling her about the car and how I wished it had been her car!  It's funny how something as silly as a car parked next to mine can seem so familiar just because it was the same kind of car my best friend drives.

So I met up with friends for a movie that I didn't know much about called, October Baby.  As I was drawn into the story, I laughed, cried, and pondered what was unfolding on the screen before me as so many parts of it hit too close to home for my liking at times.  It was getting ridiculous how many similarities there were in this movie compared to my own life.  However, I could not have predicted the biggest coincidence of all (or should I say Godcidence??) when there was a scene in which the main character found herself sitting in a beautiful cathedral, that happened to be named St. Paul's.  She had a conversation with the priest that reminded me of the conversation from this morning.  Nearly word for word, I was hearing the words that I had read in a text message being spoken aloud to me.

Later, as I pulled into the driveway tonight, Ash responded to my earlier text about the cars.  She is currently in Texas for a family wedding.  She also shared that she had just heard Bryan Adams on the radio as she was texting me.  I thought that was pretty cool and asked her which song it was.  Here was her answer.

Does the dog in the video remind  you of another one?  Isn't the title of this song an appropriate one in light of the conversation I had with my friend this morning??  Goodness gracious, signal graces certainly overflowed for me today!  I hope God doesn't get fed up with having to tell me the same thing in multiple ways because I have a feeling that I'm not quite there yet..!
