Day by day over the last two years

Today marks two years since Adam and I started "seeing" each other every single day




in spite of



ER visits,
traveling to other states,
the daily busy-ness, moving,
limited Internet access, time zones, and anything else you can name.


Since November 7, 2013, we have only not seen each other during four days in that roughly 730 day time span with the last skipped day occurring over a year ago back on September 16, 2014.

I don't know how we managed to pull this off...it wasn't like we sat down two years ago and said, "Ok, this is what we're going to do..." or said, "Hey, let's try to do this longest consecutive running record of seeing each other every day whether it's via Skype or in person".  It just unfolded and happened of its own accord and now that we've come this far...neither one of us wants to be the first to break the streak.  Of course, it's a lot easier now that we're living in the same house in the same zip code!  Yet, when Adam was sent to Atlanta this past summer for a quick work trip, he took not one but two laptops with him so that he could use the webcam on the one laptop to Skype for a few minutes each day. If that's not love, I don't know what is.  ;)

Here's to two more years of pulling this off and hopefully not getting tired of seeing one another in the process.  ;) Over the last couple years, our lives have changed in ways we could never have predicted all thanks to God but I wouldn't have it any other way as long as this guy is by my side!  I also realized this morning, when talking with some friends, that today is four months from the due date!!  That means, next year, as we take in the beautiful fall foliage like we did last weekend, we'll have not only the pups with us but a little one too.  God is good....all the time!!
