As with her fourth and fifth birthdays, we used a Facebook Event page to invite family and friends to Charlotte's 6th birthday party rather than through sending traditional paper-based invitations. Please join us for a private gathering at Prime as we enjoy some ice cream and possibly getting creative together. No gifts needed as we would just love your presence over at Prime!
As you can probably gather from the above description, there was a craft activity to go along with the ice cream! Adam, Charlotte, and I had matching family t-shirts connected to the ice cream party theme. Once everyone had arrived, we started the craft of creating suncatcher popsicles or ice cream cones, played a matching and counting game of ice cream treats, and enjoyed a readaloud of Charlotte's birthday book in the bookstore section of our favorite ice cream shoppe. Charlotte's friends enjoyed moving the little ice cream truck toy and trying to find their matching picture of the ice cream based on the flash card they had retrieved during the memory game we played in matching the ice cream treats. They also got a kick out of "finding" Charlotte on one of the pages within the book.

| Here is a peek inside the favor treat bags. Each kiddo was able to create a suncatcher ice cream cone or popsicle decoration and received a twisty colorful ice cream straw along with festive plastic ice cream bowls and matching spoons. |
